Gallery Directors

Operativa Arte Contemporanea is an art project established in Rome in 2013 with the aim of supporting the Italian contemporary art scene. Not a commercial gallery, one of Operativa’s main objectives is to create a connection between its artists’ research and the institutional context. Major collaborations in Rome include: MAXXI Foundation, MACRO, Bilotti Museums, and Fondazione per l’Arte. Since 2014, the gallery, together with L’ A Project Space, has developed a fixed art project in the Botanical Garden of Palermo. Thanks to partnerships with publishers and art magazines like NERO, Yard Press, Arte e Critica, Inside Art, and Mousse, Operativa has realized several artists’ editions, including books, catalogues, art graphics but also vinyl music products. Operativa participates in national and international art fairs with its distinctive experimental approach.
