Gallery Directors

Founded in 1964 as Valeria Bella Stampe, the gallery started dealing with great masters of engraving, old, modern and contemporary ones, on an itinerary which goes from Albrecht Dürer to Julian Opie, passing from Canaletto, Tiepolo, Piranesi, Goya, Picasso and Matisse. In 2008, a department of vintage and contemporary photography was added. The gallery maintains a large inventory of museum quality post war photography by major artists like Ghirri, Basilico, Mulas, Giacomelli, Sellerio, Migliori, Merisio, up to Capa, Callahan, Wenders, Hido, Cattani and Pellegrini. Each photograph is carefully studied, catalogued and sold with a certificate of authenticity. Since 2012 the gallery publishes an annual fully illustrated catalogue, organizes solo and group exhibitions, and participates to important fairs in Italy and abroad. Located in centre of Milano, Italy, the gallery has long been a major reference point for collectors and scholars alike.
