La Galleria Alberto Peola presenta fino al 30 aprile Sleep Well Childhood, prima mostra personale di Giuseppe Mulas (Alghero, 1995), curata da Eleonora Fascetta. Ricordi e frammenti di vita si intrecciano in una pittura densa e stratificata che, partendo dall’infanzia, apre una narrazione rivelatrice di memorie celate tra passato e presente. Come un bambino incide segni indelebili sulle pareti di casa, così l’artista imprime sulla tela un gesto che non permette modifiche e crea una storia ricca di simbolismi. Rievocazioni di un’innocente pubertà si mescolano al gioco e al sogno, alterando ed estendendo il corpo in nuove proiezioni. La mostra presenta due nuclei distinti di lavori. Nel primo, opere come I’m waiting from my bathroom for the flowing night o Bleak chambers 3 richiamano momenti fisiologici, attimi intimi in cui il corpo si muove libero nel suo essere nudo e indifeso. Un registro cromatico vibrante e luminoso contraddistingue invece il secondo nucleo di opere, di cui fanno parte There are no banana trees in my garden e I like to wear your flips-flops.

Alberto Peola Gallery presents until April 30 “Sleep Well Childhood”, the first solo exhibition by Giuseppe Mulas (Alghero, 1995), curated by Eleonora Fascetta. Memories and fragments of life interweave in dense and layered paintings which, starting from childhood, tell a story of memories hidden between past and present. Like the indelible marks that children scribble on the wall, the gesture the artist impresses on the canvas does not allow for any changes and creates a symbol-ridden story. Recollections of an innocent puberty blend into dream and play, thus altering and extending the body in new projections. The exhibition presents two distinct groups of works. In the first, works like I’m waiting from my bathroom for the flowing night or Bleak chambers (03) suggest physiological and intimate moments in which the body – naked and harmless – is moving freely. In a different fashion, the second group of works which includes There are no banana trees in my garden and I like to wear your flips-flops, features a vibrant and luminous range of colours.
