Giovedì 21 maggio riapriremo la galleria dopo il lungo lockdown. In questi due mesi avremmo dovuto inaugurare due mostre: una dedicata a una giovane artista che avrebbe esposto i suoi lavori per la prima volta nei nostri spazi e il gradito ritorno di uno degli artisti che collaborano con noi da più tempo. Nel mentre ci sarebbe stata una fiera, due presentazioni di cataloghi (una negli Stati Uniti) e alcune collaborazioni a mostre istituzionali in giro per l’Italia. Tutto questo è stato cancellato - o meglio, speriamo, posticipato. In questo periodo, come tutti, abbiamo passato le nostre giornate cucinando, leggendo, videochiamandoci, correndo sul posto ma soprattutto preoccupandoci per il futuro e per la salute dei nostri cari. Qualcuno a cui volevamo bene purtroppo ci ha lasciato, qualcuno fortunatamente è guarito. Ora finalmente proviamo a ripartire con una collettiva che comprende alcuni lavori realizzati dai nostri artisti durante la quarantena insieme a opere provenienti dai nostri magazzini. Non faremo una vera inaugurazione (oggi sarebbe complicato) ma vi aspettiamo muniti di disinfettante, mascherina, passione per l’arte e fiducia nel futuro.

On Thursday 21st May we will reopen the gallery after a long lockdown. In these two months we were expected to open two exhibitions: one dedicated to a young artist who was going to show her works for the first time in our spaces, and the welcome comeback of one of the artists who have been working with us the longest. In the meantime there should have been a fair, two catalogue presentations (one in the United States) and some collaborations to institutional exhibitions across Italy. All this has been cancelled - or rather, hopefully, postponed. During this period, like everyone else, we spent our days cooking, reading, video calling each other, running in place, but above all worrying about the future and the health of our loved ones. Someone we loved unfortunately passed away, someone fortunately healed. Now we finally try to start again with a group exhibition that includes some works made by our artists during the quarantine together with works from our storage. We will not make a formal opening (today it would be complicated…) but we are waiting for you with disinfectant, mask, passion for art and confidence in the future.
