Silvia Simoncelli is an art historian. She is course leader of the Master in Contemporary Art Markets at NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milan, and lecturer at Leuphana University in Lüneburg (D). She the Italian Editor of the Art Market Dictionary (De Gruyter, Berlin) and writes for ArtEconomy24, Il Giornale delle Fondazioni and Exibart. Since 2015 she is part of the Forum Italiano per l’Arte Contemporanea committee for which she curated, together with Ilaria Bonacossa and Antonella Crippa the 2016 edition, which was held in Genoa (IT). She is a member of TIAMSA (The International Art Market Studies Association) and of the Forum Kunst und Markt della Technische Universität in Berlin. She organized together with Alessandra Donati and Rachele Ferrario at the University Milano Bicocca in 2016 Donne Artiste in Italia, an interdisciplinary research of the Visual Arts Department of NABA, coordinated together with Caterina Iaquinta and Elvira Vannini.
