Camilla Salvaneschi is a doctoral candidate in Visual Culture at the Università Iuav di Venezia and at the University of Aberdeen. Her thesis analyses the art magazines published by periodical exhibitions such as Documenta, Manifesta, and the Venice Biennale. Her research interests include the evolution of contemporary art magazine, but also the role of magazines and criticism in the art system. She recently co-curated the exhibition and conference Fiamme. Fifty Contemporary Art Magazines: Art, Fashion, Architecture, and Design at the Università Iuav di Venezia (2017). She collaborates with several publishing houses and magazines in Italy and abroad. She was editor of the curatorial agency GoldenRuler (2013-2017), and editorial coordinator of the National Pavilion of the Republic of Armenia at the 56th Venice Biennale (2015). She is editor of the upcoming academic journal On Biennials.
