Gallery Directors

In early 2013 Montoro12 Contemporary art, founded by and directed by art historian ursula hawlitschka ph.d., opened its doors in the historic Palazzo Montoro, in the center of rome. in 2017 the gallery opened a second space in Rue de la Regence in Brussels. among the artists of the gallery are both internationally renowned artists such as Faig Ahmed, Luis Felipe Ortega, Steve Sabella, Larissa Sansour, Emmanuele De Ruvo, as well as international emerging artists such as Isobel Church, Nicholas William Johnson, Fabio Ranzolin and many others. Every year the gallery organizes between 8 and 10 exhibitions among the two spaces and collabotrates with institutions by organizing museum exhibitions for its artists. In fact, right after Arte Fiera, the gallery is organizing an exhibition of the Mexican artist Luis Felipe Ortega who represented his country at the Venice Biennale in 2015. The exhibition will take place at Macro Museum in Rome.
