Gallery Directors

Galleria Tonelli was founded in 1981 thank to the passion of Lodovico Tonelli for XX century Art, in the historical centre of Milan and just steps away from Santa Maria delle Grazie, the church which is home to Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper”. The Gallery exhibits works and paintings by 20th century Masters along with selected contemporary artists. 
Tancredi’s works on paper, Victor Brauner, Jacques Villeglè’s decollages d’affiches, Piero Dorazio’s paintings, David Simpson and Stuart Arends, Getulio Alviani, Carla Accardi meets Lucio Fontana, Today Together ( a dialogue between “couples” of international artists: Vincenzo Castella and Mario Schifano, Stuart Arends and Fausto Melotti, Getulio Alviani and David Simpson) and The Fontana I love (an important selection of ceramic works by Lucio Fontana realised between 1929 and 1968) have been among the most important exhibitions. The catalogues of the shows are published in co-operation with the prestigious Libri Scheiwiller and Skira publishing houses in Milan. Galleria Tonelli has established a branch in Porto Cervo.
