Galleria In Arco was founded in 1987 in a space, mostly underground, already an ancient Roman walkway; there, for a couple of years, works on paper by artists, already well known, on the international scene were exhibited. In October 1989, the Gallery moved into the considerably larger spaces of a seventeenth-century Turin palazzo, inaugurating that season with a major exhibition by Markus Lupertz; will follow, for about a couple of years, a series of exhibitions dedicated to the Italian and German artists Arte Povera and Trasavanguardia. Finally, at the beginning of 1991, the last and definitive shift took place in the current location, which was inaugurated with the most conceptual personnel ever created by Salvo, called "Interiors with extraordinary functions". Since then there have been countless exhibitions, aimed at presenting some emerging realities of the national scene and the English and American ones, culminating in the project "Facts & Fictions", a series of four exhibitions focusing on many poles of new artistic creativity.
