Founded in Berlin in 2009, Galerie Mazzoli established itself as the first commercial art gallery to focus on works in which sound is a crucial structural element. It is a place primarily dedicated to exploring and promoting the different ways in which sound can be used as an artistic medium. The activity began with a group show including four artists who are known for their work across the fields of installation art and electronic music, and continued over the years its research in the world of Sound Art, often in relation to the most recent technology. In recent times, the gallery began to extend its program to multimedia works that do not involve sound directly, but are nonetheless related to science and technology.
