Contemporary Young Award

The #ContemporaryYoung prize will be rewarded today at the Fair. The prize was launched by Giovani Industriali in Bologna for the first time at Arte Fiera 2015. The initiative is open to all under 40 artists who will exhibit this year’s Art Fair, regardless of their expressive technique, and whose work relates to the idea of doing and building. The work of the winner will be part of the Young Entrepreneurs collection of Confindustria Emilia.

The exhibition (part of Art City’s programme), curated by Simone Menegoi, at Palazzo de Toschi will open to the public today at 6:30pm. It is the first solo show in Italy by the Canadian born, NY based artist. The exhibition offers Italian viewers their first major opportunity to experience the work of an artist who, in her early forties, can already be found in the collections of prestigious international museums

The performance Tunguska Event, History Marches on a Table, promoted by Art City, will take place today and tomorrow at 7pm and on Sunday at 5pm at the former GAM. The performance was born starting from the text by Stephen Fry “Incomplete & Utter History of Classical Music” which narrates the historical facts that took place between 1904 and 1917 with the use of history, politics, music, theatre and art.
