Studio G7 presenta Chiaroscuro, mostra collettiva che per il secondo anno conclude la stagione espositiva della galleria. In questa nuova edizione i lavori di Bill Beckley, Gregorio Botta, Daniela Comani, Franco Guerzoni, Eduard Habicher, Jacopo Mazzonelli, Mariateresa Sartori sono stati selezionati per indagare il ruolo dell’immagine nel nostro nuovo quotidiano costruendo un percorso che cerca di riflettere e aprire un dibattito sulla situazione contemporanea. «La perdita del contatto fisico e il mancato incontro con l’altro nei difficili giorni che stiamo vivendo hanno accelerato e implementato drammaticamente l’abuso dell’immagine, acuendo una realtà in cui eravamo già perfettamente calati» osserva Leonardo Regano, curatore della mostra. In questi mesi l’immagine è stata il contatto comune, il mezzo per diminuire le distanze e l’oggetto per riscoprire e consolidare gli affetti coltivati inevitabilmente a distanza. In una sorta di dematerializzazione del processo relazionale, lo “schermo” è diventato il medium centro delle nostre percezioni. Chiaroscuro invita quindi a una riflessione su come oggi si torni a guardare l’immagine e, di conseguenza, evidenzia i meccanismi della nostra fruizione. Attraverso un visore per la realtà virtuale, il primo approccio con lo spazio espositivo sarà ancora mediato da uno schermo. Il visitatore potrà poi accorciare le distanze passando al contatto diretto con l’opera stessa. L’esperienza della mostra diventa personale, connotata dal tempo del singolo individuo e condivisa nell’insieme dello spazio e delle sue immagini.

Studio G7 presents Chiaroscuro, the group show that, for the second year, closes the gallery’s exhibition season. In this new edition, the works of Bill Beckley, Gregorio Botta, Daniela Comani, Franco Guerzoni, Eduard Habicher, Jacopo Mazzonelli, Mariateresa Sartori have been selected in order to investigate the role of the image in our new daily life, creating a path that attempts to reflect and to open a debate about the current situation. «The loss of physical contact and the impossibility of meeting other people during these difficult days have quickened and dramatically implemented the abuse of the image, intensifying a reality in which we were already immersed in» states Leonardo Regano, curator of the show. During these months, the image has been the common contact point, a tool to reduce distances and the subject through which we rediscovered and reinforced our feelings for our loved ones, necessarily at distance. In a kind of dematerialization of the relationship process, the “screen” has become the centre of our perceptions. Chiaroscuro invites us to reflect on how today we have the chance of looking at the image again and, as a consequence, underlines the mechanisms of our fruition. Through a virtual reality screen, the first contact with the exhibition space will take place again through a screen. The guest could then reduce the distances, and to have a direct contact with the artwork. The experience made in the exhibition becomes personal, characterized by the time of the individual involved and globally shared with the space and its images.
