L’ARIETE artecontemporanea presenta un nuovo incontro con il giovane artista cinese Jingge Dong dopo la personale White night|Landscape of chaos del 2019 nella sede della Galleria e la mostra The Goddess of the Luo River, a cura di Daniele Capra, a Palazzo Tubertini a Bologna, promossa da AZIMUT Capital Management e organizzata da Vilma Travaglio nell’ambito di ART CITY Segnala 2020 in occasione di Arte Fiera. Un dialogo fra opere di grandi dimensioni e un recente nucleo di lavori su carta dal titolo Dreamland, nei quali stilemi orientali e occidentali si intrecciano a un’indagine sul tema della luce e del colore. Focus della ricerca dell’artista è il tema del “cambiamento”, la complessità di relazioni tra le forme che – come scrive Dong nel suo statement - può tradursi in «deviazione del colore, svolta della linea, ponte tra la morbidezza e l’intensità, legame della totalità e del dettaglio, equilibrio di caos e ordine».
Nato a Beijing (Cina) nel 1989, Jingge Dong consegue nel 2011 il Bachelor of Art dell’Università Normale di Shanghai, nel 2015 il Fine Art Master della Scuola di Laurea dell’Accademia d’Arte Nazionale Cinese, nel 2019 si laurea all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia. È presente in collezioni pubbliche e private e ha ricevuto significativi riconoscimenti da Istituzioni in Cina e Italia. Attualmente è in residenza presso la Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa di Venezia che lo ha invitato alle rassegne Giovani Artisti 101 e 102 nella galleria dell’istituzione in Piazza San Marco. La Galleria L’ARIETE artecontemporanea lo ha presentato ad Arte Fiera Bologna, Art Verona e Art Karlsruhe (D). È stato segnalato al 7° Premio Cramum e selezionato come finalista al Combat Prize 2019 e al Premio Internazionale Arte Laguna 2017. Ha vinto il Premio ORA 2018, la Biennale MArteLive ’17 (pittura), il National students exhibition excellence prize Tianjin (China) 2014 e il 2nd National University and Academy students prize Chengdu (China) 2010.
L'ARIETE artecontemporanea presents a new project with the young Chinese artist Jingge Dong after the solo show White night|Landscape of chaos at the Gallery in 2019 and the exhibition The Goddess of the Luo River curated by Daniele Capra at Palazzo Tubertini in Bologna, promoted by AZIMUT Capital Management and organized by Vilma Travaglio as part of ART CITY Segnala 2020, on the occasion of Arte Fiera. It’s a dialogue between large paintings and a recent group of works on paper entitled Dreamland, in which oriental and western styles intertwine with un investigation on the themes of light and color. The artist's research focuses on the topic of “change”, the complexity of relationships between forms which - as he writes in his statement - can turn into «deviation of color, a turning point of the line, a bridge between softness and intensity, a link of totality and detail, balance of chaos and order».
Born in Beijing (China) in 1989, Jingge Dong obtained the Bachelor of Art from the Shanghai Normal University in 2011, in 2015 the Fine Art Master of the Graduate School of the Chinese National Academy of Art, in 2019 he graduated from the Venice Academy of Fine Arts. He is present in public and private collections and has received significant acknowledgments from institutions in China and Italy. He is currently in residence at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in Venice that invited him to the Young Artists 101st and 102nd shows in the gallery of the institution in Piazza San Marco. L’ARIETE artecontemporanea presented his works at Arte Fiera Bologna, Art Verona and Art Karlsruhe (D). He was nominated for the 7th Cramum Prize and was selected as a finalist at the Combat Prize in 2019 and of the Arte Laguna International Prize in 2017. He won the ORA Prize 2018, the MArteLive Biennial (painting) 2017, the National students exhibition excellence prize Tianjin (China) 2014 and the 2nd National University and Academy students prize Chengdu (China) 2010.
