Spot home gallery è una galleria dedicata alla fotografia contemporanea e alle sue contaminazioni con altri linguaggi espressivi. Fondata da Cristina Ferraiuolo, la galleria ha aperto le sue porte nel febbraio 2021, in uno storico palazzo di via Toledo a Napoli. Attraverso mostre personali e collettive, residenze d’artista, partecipazione a fiere d’arte internazionali, Spot intende promuovere una fotografia d’autore tesa a sollecitare più interrogativi che risposte e a suggerire nuovi modi di vedere e interpretare il mondo e il tempo che viviamo. L’interesse è rivolto a fotografi consolidati ed emergenti che si spingono ad esplorare costantemente i limiti del mezzo e i suoi supporti, al confine tra tradizione e sperimentazione. Spot produce e cura, inoltre, residenze d’artista: autori selezionati sono invitati a trascorrere un periodo di tempo a Napoli per approfondire la propria ricerca e creare un lavoro inedito da esporre, poi, in una mostra personale in galleria.

Spot home gallery is a gallery dedicated to contemporary photography and its contaminations with other forms of expression. Founded by Cristina Ferraiuolo, the gallery opened its doors in February 2021 within the setting of a historic building on Naples’ via Toledo. Through solo and group exhibitions, artist residencies, and its presence at international art fairs, Spot aims to promote the artistic photography meant to raise questions rather than answers and to suggest new ways of seeing and interpreting the world and time we live in. Focus is placed on established and emerging photographers who strive to constantly explore the limits of the medium and its supports, on the edge between tradition and experimentation. Spot moreover produces and curates artist residencies where selected authors are invited to spend time in Naples to pursue their research and create original work to later exhibit in a solo show at the gallery.
