The gallery was opened in 1989 by Alberto Peola; it shows works by contemporary emerging and established artists and places a firm emphasis on new artistic trends which, in the Italian context but also the European and international scene, explore personal narrative research through different expressive means and languages, ranging from painting to photography and video installations, to the recent interest in research-based art practice. During the thirty years of activity, the gallery programming has been keen on and supportive of young artists, long before the artworks of the new generations became cult objects, like in the late 1990s.
