Mimmo Scognamiglio
Its founder and namesake Mimmo Scognamiglio is an Italian gallerist who trained working for 10 years with the famous Italian gallerist and curator Lucio Amelio. Founded in 1995 in Naples, the gallery moved to Milan in 2007. Mimmo Scognamiglio Artecontemporanea represents a combination of established and emerging artists working in a wide range of mediums and techniques. The gallery includes internationally exhibiting artists such as Chiharu Shiota, Jason Martin, Joana Vasconcelos and Gavin Turk. The gallery also represents many emerging Italian and international artists, such as the young Chinese artist Yuxiang Wang and others like Evgeniya Pankratova, Sabrina Rosenheim and Yuxiang Wang. However, Mimmo Scognamiglio has always had a close eye on figurative painting that transcends national boundaries to provide a broad and complex panorama of this technique through artists such as Jenni Hiltunen, Tafadzwa Tega, Sara Berman and Alexandra Zarins.
