Alfonso Artiaco opened his gallery in Pozzuoli in 1986 with Possibilità di collezione, featuring works by Boetti, Beuys, Fabro, Ontani, Paolini, Schifano and Warhol, initiating a rigorous dialogue with international contemporary art. Over the years, the gallery developed a program focused on Arte Povera, Conceptual and Minimal art, presenting Anselmo, Artschwager, Charlton, Laib, Penone, Toroni and Weiner. After a temporary space in Via Mameli (1995), it returned to Pozzuoli in 1997 with Kounellis, then relocated to Naples in 2003. In 2012 it moved to Piazzetta Nilo; in 2025 it returned to Piazza dei Martiri with shows by Janssens and Rondinone. Its international program includes Paolini, Gilbert & George, Darren Almond, Robert Barry, Anri Sala and Callum Innes, alongside emerging artists such as Diego Cibelli, Veronica Bisesti, Paolo Bini and Selene Cardia; the gallery also represents the Achille Perilli Estate. In 2026 it will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a dedicated project.
