Arte Fiera Bologna taking place from January 24th to 27th, 2014 is the most established and complete modern and contemporary art fair in Italy
Following the huge success of last edition, in which more than 1000 international collectors attended the fair where 135 galleries were exhibiting, Arte Fiera 2014 will be organized according to a new project made by the two artistic directors: Giorgio Verzotti and Claudio Spadoni.
The fair will therefore benefit from a curatorial approach and will include the following sections.
MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ART
is the main exhibiting sector, dedicated to es¬tablished art galleries for Modern and Contemporary art. This year this section includes gal¬leries presenting artworks from late 19 th to 21th century.
NEW PROPOSALS
promotes participation in Arte Fiera by galleries wanting to showcase young artists under 35 years old.
SOLO SHOW
is addressed to art galleries wanting to show case a monographic exhibition.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Curated by MIA Fair, this section is dedicated to galleries presenting photography
FOCUS ON EASTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES
Arte Fiera 2014 will have a Special Focus Section curated by Marco Scotini - independent curator and Director of Naba (New Academy of Fine Arts) in Milan, dedicated to the Eastern European countries as the geographic area for 2014, whose emerging economies have given great impetus to the art market and to the cultural scene in general.
ARTE FIERA CONVERSATIONS AND CURATED SHOWS IN TOWN
The next edition of Arte Fiera will also host a series of Round Tables on the art market and artistic creation in the Eastern European countries. Dynamic dialogues will take place among prominent members of the international art world.
The cultural programme of the show will be enriched by curated exhibitions held in public spaces, especially conceived for Arte Fiera 2014.
The upcoming edition of the fair will present a VIP programme of events parties, parties, guided tours and receptions and exhibitions in town devoted to collectors attending the show.
