Bruna Roccasalva

Bruna Roccasalva is the Artistic Director of Furla Foundation. For the Furla Series program she curated a performance cycle with Alexandra Backzetsis, Simone Forti, Adelita Husni-Bey, Christian Marclay, and Paulina Olowska (2017-2018), as well as the solo shows of Haegue Yang (2018), Nairy Baghramian (2021), Andrea Bowers (2022), and Suzanne Jackson (2023).

In 2023, she curated the Public Movement collective’s performance in the context of Furla Foundation’s partnership with Arte Fiera and its performance program.

She was co-director of the Peep-Hole Art Center, which she co-founded in 2009, and Editor of Peep-Hole Sheet, a quarterly publication of artist writings, in which she published articles by Liam Gillick, Matias Faldbakken, Karl Holmqvist, Paul Sietsema, Christodoulos Panayiotou, and Cally Spooner, among others.

At Peep-Hole, she curated shows by artists such as Ahmet Ögüt (2009), Renata Lucas (2011), Gabriel Sierra (2013), Trisha Baga (2013), Uri Aran (2014), Paolo Icaro (2014), Calvin Marcus (2015-16), Paolo Gioli (2016), and Formafantasma (2016). She was Editor-in-Chief of L'Officiel Art (2017-2019) and Head of Publications for Mousse Publishing (2010-2011). From 2009 to 2016 she was Associate Curator at GAMeC - Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea of Bergamo, where she organized solo and group shows and worked on numerous publications, including monographs of Alighiero Boetti, Getulio Alviani, and Giulio Paolini. She collaborated with the Gino De Dominicis Association to organize its archive and catalog its works (2001), and taught History of Contemporary Art at the Istituto Europeo di Design (2006).
