Gallery Directors

Giovanni Bonelli Gallery opens in 2012 in the Isola district in Milan. The program of the 300 sqm open space was initially focused on Italian figurative painters like Fulvio Di Piazza, Giuseppe Gonella, Marco Mazzoni, and abstract artists like Davide Nido and Robert Pan. In the following years important solo show by most wellknown artists will interchange: Aldo Mondino (2013), Bruno Munari and Daniel Spoerri (2015), Maurizio Mochetti (2016), Gianni Pettena (January 2017). In the last year the gallery opened to international partnerships, e.g. collective show “In Space no one can hear you laugh” (April 2016) that allowed to present to Italian public works by: Julius Von Bismarck, Julian Charrière, but also Giuseppe Gallo, Peter Halley, Alessandro Piangiamore, Angelo Filomeno and Luigi Ghirri. In alternating past masters and young artists it allows the gallery to have a wide and broad-based overview on the international artistic scene.
