Il Chiostro opened in Saronno in 1988 with the exhibition of Filippo De Pisis "Gli eventi del minuto". Its activity alternates between masters from the XX century as Marino Marini, Carrà, Sironi, Fontana, Melotti, Warhol, with the contemporaries such as Arcangelo, Facco, Greco, Di Giovanni, Filiberti, Hirsch, La Pietra, Tagliatti, Scherffig together with labels from the world of photography (Ghirri, Basilico, Lelli & Masotti, Lucas, Mattioli). "Comunicare con l’arte", with Folon, Steinberg, Pascali, inaugurated in 2005 the new location. Il Chiostro also curates Jorge Eielson’s archive and the release of the certifications for his works; It’s essential for the gallery to collaborate with colleagues and institutions and this is the case of Poirier. In fact, the monograph presented is organized with Ginevra Grigolo of Studio G7 in Bologna, who in past produced eight exhibitions of these artists and, in different occasions, shared various projects with Il Chiostro.
