Pad. 25 Stand B/39
Prometeo Gallery was founded on the initiative of Ida Pisani, after a long history as a cultural association, evolving in 2005 into a gallery based in Milan and Lucca. The gallery has always stood out as a catalyst for the social and political demands of multimedia visual artists, such as, for instance, Guatemalan artist Regina José Galindo - Golden Lion at the 51th Venice Biennale (2005) as Under 35 Best Artist - and the dissident artist Santiago Sierra. Over the years Prometeo Gallery keep giving voice to artists that belongs to critical geopolitical areas, such as Kurdish artist Zehra Dogan and Kurdish-Iraqui artist Hiwa K, among others. In 2022 the gallery begins to represent the work of Italian-Senegalese artist Binta Diaw, whose first solo exhibition "La plage noire" opened at the gallery's spaces in October 2022.
