Maria Livia Brunelli, an enthusiast contemporary art curator, and Fabrizio Casetti, an eclectic entrepreneur, are the soul of MLB, a home gallery to be discovered, allured by lanterns, daring to ring the bell of a charming renaissance building in front of Ferrara's Castle. It’s a space where the boundary between the private and the public spheres is a tiny orchid-lined corridor: for the visitor it is a great feeling to enter the bedroom, filled with artworks. The artist Cesare Pietroiusti has given it the definition of “relational gallery”, because it’s founder's passion succeeds in involving also non-experts of the art world. Every inauguration sees 300 welcomed guests arrive. MLB exhibitions are always inspired by the themes of specific exhibitions of the nearby Palazzo dei Diamanti. Each show of MLB is born from a well-defined and quality curatorial project which requires at least a year of preparation and often involves the entire city extending it into museums and urban spaces.
