Giuseppe Pero started his activity in 1995 in Turin opening, together with Gian Enzo Sperone, the gallery 1000eventi, showing historical artists (Julian Schnabel, Donald Baechelr, Aldo Mondino) and at the same time the new generation of Tom Sachs, Tim Hawkinson. In 1998 Giuseppe Pero moved to Milan, in Via del Lauro. Since 2002 he started working alone under his name, moving to a new space, a former mechanic's workshop in via Porro Lambertenghi 3. The gallery’s policy has been to stage exhibitions by artist of different generations, alternating between young and historical italian artist (Andrea Mastrovito, Massimo Kaufmann, Fausto Gilberti, Alighiero Boetti) and foreigners (Melissa Kretchmer, Annè Oloffson, Hervè Graumann, Carl Andre, Tony Ousler, Fred Sandback), in order to both create a dialogue and allow comparisons, as well as to provide the most complete overview of contemporary art.
