The Galleria dell'Incisione opened in Brescia in 1972 and specialized in middle-European graphics between the 19th and 20th century, with a preference for the German, Austrian and Czech area of the beginning of our century. Since the beginning, the gallery presented artists as Otto Dix, George Grosz, Karl Hubbuch, Max Klinger, Richard Müller and Rudolf Schlichter. The gallery also proposed contemporary artists (especially from Italy) and illustrators (Lorenzo Mattotti, Franco Matticchio, Bruno Munari, Jean-Michel Folon, Milton Glaser), and occasionally organized Japanese art reviews (Hiroshige, Hokusai, Koson, Kunisada, Utamaro and Yoshitoshi). Recently, exhibitions of international photographers were organized, such as Martine Franck, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Ferdinando Scianna, Enzo Sellerio, Elliott Erwitt, Vivian Maier, Steve McCurry, Michael Kenna.
