Do ut do and SpazioC21 present two figurative artists: Escif and MP5. The theme chosen by do ut do for the 2025 cycle is "Desire". For Escif, desire is the search for what we are not and do not have, a tool of the ego to survive by projecting oneself into the future. Therefore, one of the most universal desires is to transcend and control nature, attempting to capture its beauty through art. A failed attempt, because nature is more powerful, harmonious, and vital than human mimetic capacity. For MP5, the space between two bodies measures desire; filling that distance requires a drive that originates from the unconscious and becomes a political gesture. The artist's figures naturally animate in a secular and carnal rituality, inviting the audience to participate, while colour contrasts transform them into modern sacred images. The result of this collaboration will support the activities of the MT. Chiantore Seràgnoli Hospice Foundation in Bologna.
