Galleria Tonelli was founded in 1981 thank to the passion of Lodovico Tonelli for XX century Art and exhibits works and paintings by 20th century Masters along with selected contemporary artists. Tancredi’s works on paper, Brauner, Villeglè’s decollages d’affiches, Dorazio’s paintings, Simpson and Arends, Alviani, “Accardi meets Fontana” and “The Fontana I love” (an important selection of ceramic works by Lucio Fontana realised between 1929 and 1968) have been among the most important exhibitions; “F. Melotti. Sul disegno”,an exhibition born after the acquisition of an important group of drawings, used to accompany the publication of two "Lines" Notebooks (in 1975 and 1978) for Adelphi. The catalogues of are published in co-operation with Libri Scheiwiller, Skira and Silvana Editoriale. Galleria Tonelli has established a branch in Porto Cervo, where during the summer months it exhibits works by modern and contemporary artists such as Fontana, Fermariello, Boetti and Atchugarry.
