Armanda Gori Arte was born in April 1998 when Armanda Gori and her husband Aldo Marchi decided to open a gallery to share their growing passion for contemporary art and expand their activity as collectors. In the early years, the Gallery organized frequent Art Café events, events in which people entertained around a table with the artist and the critics, in conversations that explained the exhibition that had been organised. In 2002 the gallery moved its headquarters to the current exhibition space in Viale della Repubblica 66 in Prato, continuing to propose historical Italian artists in exhibitions organized both within the gallery and in institutional spaces. In 2014 the Pietrasanta office was opened where exhibitions are organized every year, concentrated especially in the summer period.
