Pad. 26 Stand A/30
Litografia Bulla is the oldest artists’ lithography studio still in operation. Founded in 1818 in Paris, it then found its definitive headquarters in Rome in 1840. It soon became, from the first half of the 1900s, an important point of reference for the artistic community. The studio is now carried on by Romolo, Rosalba, Beatrice and Flaminia Bulla, respectively the sixth and seventh generation of printers, who continue to keep the technique alive by experimenting with contemporary artists in the production of multiples, artists’ books and limited editions prints. In 2020, Litografia Bulla opened Passaggi, a large window which opens from the two most historic rooms of the studio, in which the works of artists who have experimented and explored the interesting interweaving of traditional and contemporary graphic techniques are exhibited.
