The underlying theme of this section is an exploration of the various ways in which photography and imagery represent our world and realty. All photographic and video genres, techniques and subject matter are included without exception, with special emphasis on how they dialogue with other artistic disciplines.
Found footage, digital recon-structions, 3-D installations and unconventional supports all have a place in a section that is not just confined to how photography and moving images present today but what they are becoming as the media undergo constant trans-formation and renewal.
The 2019 edition aims to provide a broad overview of the best works to be found in Italian galleries, with specific focus on the production of emerging artists who use photography and video both as their media of expression and as the subject of their artistic investigation.
