Gallery Directors

In 1987 Alessandro Bagnai opened his gallery in Siena and starts working very early on with a group of artists defined as the ‘New Roman School’, among them Giuseppe Gallo, Piero Pizzi Cannella, Nunzio, Marco Tirelli and Gianni Dessì. With the gallery's main attention on painting from the ‘80s marked by collaborations with artists such as Mario Schifano, Sandro Chia, Enzo Cucchi, Rainer Fetting, David Salle and Julian Schnabel. From the beginning the gallery's focus was aimed towards younger artists like Massimo Barzagli, Vittorio Corsini, Daniele Galliano, Maurizio Savini and Paolo Leonardo. Over the last few years exhibitions with artists from new generations and other masters like Gunther Uecker have shared the programme. This year the Gallery has opened its new location in Foiano della Chiana (Arezzo) and at the moment the gallery is showing a retrospective of Mario Schifano's work. In an adjacent space an installation of Nunzio is on show.
