MAIN SECTION

In 2004, Galleria Michela Rizzo opened in Venice, in a small exhibition space, with the intention of revitalising the cultural scene related to contemporary art, in a city where there was a need for galleries that were not purely commercial in nature. At the beginning of 2008, the gallery moved to a larger and more charming space, on the first floor of Palazzo Palumbo Fossati, a beautiful 16th-century Venetian building, where it will remain until 2014. In 2013 this was joined by a second venue, the ground floor of an industrial building in the area of the former breweries on the Giudecca. This space became the gallery's permanent home in April 2014. Over the years, Galleria Michela Rizzo has pursued a high-profile exhibition activity, alternating virtuoso collaborations with important international artists with those of young emerging artists.
