Gallery Directors

The LABS GALLERY was founded by two friends’ twenty-year passion for contemporary art. The gallery opened in 2014, after a year of renovation and refurbishment work, in the striking space of a former church dating back to 1100, situated in the heart of Bologna, with an exhibition on analytical painting. Among the various exhibitions: Fernando De Filippi (his works from the 1970s), Carlo Battaglia, Marcel Dzama and, in January 2017, Herman De Vries.LABS GALLERY aims to analyse European and international avant-gardes from the 60s with a focus on Conceptual Photography, Kinetic and Programmed Art, Group Zero/Nul, Arte Povera, Analytical Painting, contemporary artists and a new line on the Italian and international street art.The continuous study, thoroughness and diligence in our approach led us to have the opportunity to introduce to collectors and museum authorities a sought after and rare collection of works, also offering collectors support in the evaluation, purchase and placement of artworks.
