Gallery Directors

In its exhibition policy, the Open Art gallery, founded in 2001, deliberately alternates major figures of the 20th art with younger ones, seeking continuity and consistency between the past and the present. There are two main approaches in its exhibition programmes: the former comprises of such artists as T. Scialoja, J. Kolar and G. Schneider, to whom the gallery has devoted retrospective exhibitions that have also tended to confirm the relevance of their paintings and messages. Specific attention is also given to the developments of the gestural approach and, more specifically, to the American Abstract Expressionism, with artists such as P. Jenkins, C. Marca-Relli, N. Bluhm, J. Ferren, J. Brooks, J. Grillo and S. Francis. Parallel to this, there is another area of interest: the Italian artistic movement that is represented by such artists as W. Fusi, A. Monnini, M. Nuti and S. Bozzolini. On the occasion of each exhibition, the Open Art gallery publishes a bilingual catalogue.
