Gallery Directors

Placentia Arte is devoted to the research in the field of the visual arts and to the promotion of emerging artists. Founded in 1991 in Piacenza by Lino Baldini, it became a reference point for young artists who, often at the beginning of their careers, presented new artworks in the spaces of the gallery. In 2015 four young curators took over the artistic direction and management of the gallery, picking up the baton from the previous director. The intention is to preserve the essence of the gallery – a focus on the value of the project and a particular attention on the young artists working in Italy – and, at the same time, to broaden its horizons, by addressing a new generation of artists and public. Davide Allieri, Lucia Cristiani, Riccardo Giacconi, Simone Monsi, Marco Pezzotta, Federica Mutti and Stefano Serretta are among the artists who, till now, have presented their work in the gallery.
