Studio Trisorio was inaugurated in 1974 by Pasquale and Lucia Trisorio with a show by Dan Flavin. The gallery, currently directed by Laura and Lucia Trisorio, explores the various languages of contemporary art, commissions site-specific projects and curates exhibits in public venues in Italy and abroad. In the last few years, the gallery has hosted important solo shows by Robert Polidori, Eulalia Valldosera, Louise Bourgeois, Jan Fabre and Francesco Arena and it represents artists such as Carlo Alfano, Bill Beckley, Daniel Buren, Fabrizio Corneli, Jan Fabre, Rebecca Horn, Alfredo Maiorino, Umberto Manzo, Martin Parr, and Felice Varini. The Studio Trisorio regularly collaborates with the Madre Museum and the Capodimonte Museum and since 1996 has organized Artecinema, the International Festival of Films on Contemporary Art. It is currently supporting a commissioned project by artist Bill Beckley which delves into the complex relationship between the city of Naples and its rich cultural heritage.
