Mario Soria

Eidos Immagini Contemporanee Gallery was founded out of a love for art and collecting by Mario Soria, who has run the gallery since 1990. It specializes in the valorization of the great masters of the historic informal and geometric abstractionism. In almost thirty years since its opening, it has hosted exhibitions by Hartung, Mathieu, Albers, Vasarely, Max Bill, Sam Francis, Arnulf Rainer, Nitsch, Gianni Bertini, Vasco Bendini, Franco Grignani, Giulio Turcato, Emilio Scanavino, Roberto Sebastian Matta, Spoerri, Schneider, Lucio Fontana and others, as well as excursus into contemporary art. Along with an astute approach toward the historical recognition and collection of works, following the shrewdest of collecting criteria, often anticipating market trends, the Eidos Gallery is committed to supporting contemporary artists, assisting them at the curatorial level and promoting them in institutional events. The gallery participates in the important national and European art fairs.
