Giovanni Bonelli Gallery opened in 2012 Milan's Isola district. The planning of the 300 sq.m open space is initially focused on Italian figurative painters like Fulvio Di Piazza, Giuseppe Gonella and abstract artists like Davide Nido and Robert Pan. During the last few years important solo shows by most renowned artists have beeen staged: Aldo Mondino (2013 and 2017), Daniel Spoerri (2015), Maurizio Mochetti (2016), Gianni Pettena (2017), Antonio Trotta (2017), Mario Schifano and Giulio Turcato (2018). Since 2016, the gallery opened up to international partnerships that have allowed the Italian public to view works by: Julius Von Bismarck, Julian Charrière, but also Giuseppe Gallo, Peter Halley, Alessandro Piangiamore and Angelo Filomeno. In 2018, with a collective show called “Super S.H.E.”, the gallery dedicated a special show to female artists’ works with established artists like Carla Accardi, Maria Lai, Carol Rama (+Michela Martello and Elena Monzo). Maurizio Cannavacciuolo opens the new season.
