Pad. 25 Stand A/83
In 1987, Alessandro Bagnai opened his gallery in Siena. The gallery soon began to work with a group of artists known as the “Nuova scuola romana”, including Giuseppe Gallo, Piero Pizzi Cannella, Marco Tirelli, Gianni Dessì and Nunzio. The principal focus on painters of the 1980s was enhanced by his relationship with artists from earlier generations, like Sandro Chia and Enzo Cucchi, and other international names like Rainer Fetting, David Salle, Julian Schnabel and Tony Cragg. Since the early years, the gallery has also handled younger artists like Massimo Barzagli, Vittorio Corsini, Daniele Galliano, Paolo Leonardo, May Cornet and many others, alternating exhibitions with maestros like Günther Uecker and Mario Schifano. After fifteen years of exhibition in various locations in Florence, at the beginning of 2016, the gallery decided to continue its efforts in the town of Foiano della Chiana, in the province of Arezzo, in the spaces of a renovated disused factory.
