Gallery Directors

Studio G7 was founded by Ginevra Grigolo in 1973. In the ‘70, the shows about Pop Art were followed by an increasing interest in Performance, Conceptual Art, and Painting (Abramović, Paolini, Guerzoni, etc.) From ‘77 to 1981 the gallery published the cultural magazine G7 Studio. During the ‘80 and the ‘90 foreign international artists entered the gallery (Poirier, Beckley, LeWitt, Erben, Tremlett). In 1986 LeWitt created the wall drawing Arcs from four sides on four walls which testified the intention to anticipate trends; the wall drawings by Tremlett, De Marco, Nagasawa and Erben followed it. Studio G7 always gives high importance to the sculpture through a cooperation with artists as Corneli, Habicher, Icaro, Nagasawa. Nowadays, the activity continues by both reinforcing the existing collaborations and introducing new artistic researches (Comani, de Marco, Botta, Candeloro, Sartori, Semach). On April 2017, Studio G7 celebrated its 44 years of activity with a retrospective at MAMbo.
