Galleria Michela Rizzo opened in 2004, and immediately became very active. In a very short time it became a reference point in the contemporary art scene, promoting projects of international artists and emerging Italian artists. The gallery had a very important period during the Biennale of 2007. It presented an important installation by Barry-X-Ball and realized the art exhibition New Religion by Damien Hirst at Palazzo Pesaro Papafava. After a short time, Michela Rizzo organized the first exhibition in Italy of the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement at the 52nd Biennale: Argentinean artist León Ferrari. Since 2009, Galleria Michela Rizzo realized many exhibitions by Italian and international artists such as: Movements and Reality with the works of Antoni Muntadas and Maria Teresa Sartori; Fabio Mauri etc. an exhibition of Fabio Mauri and then one of Richard Nonas.
