Perla Bianco

The gallery was founded in Mestre in 1964 by Cesare Misserotti. In 1966, it moved to Venice, Campo san Provolo and began with an exhibition by Tancredi, who had just died. The young Cesare Misserotti wanted to project the gallery on to international scene. So, after the one man show “Paolo Gioli”, the gallery emerged on the art and culture scene: in collaboration with Ileana Sonnabend and Leo Castelli, more than 60 works by Warhol, Lichtenstein, Dine, Oldenburg, and Rosenquist were showed in the extraordinary exhibition “American Supermarket”. In 1964, Cesare Misserotti met Raymond Hains, with whom be began a collaboration whose result was the exhibition: “La Biennale Eclatée”. For the first time: Pavlos, Dietman, Franco Vaccari, Gilli and an important exhibition of young British painting. From 1995 the gallery moved to Treviso. Since then, shows have included Mario Ceroli, Michelangelo Pistoletto, “Body Art”, “Nouveau Réalisme”, Urs Lüthi, Mainolfi, Gastone Novelli, Maria Lai, Gina Pane, Nanni Valentini, Bruno Munari, James Lee Byars, and Raymond Hains.
