Armanda Gori Arte was born in April 1998 when Armanda Gori and her husband Aldo Marchi decided to open a gallery to share their growing passion for contemporary art. In the early years, the Gallery organized frequent Art Café events at their first location in Prato. The artists featured in the exhibitions they organized participated in these Art Café events, as well as critics, collectors and many of their friends who were starting to share their enthusiasm for contemporary art. In 2002 the gallery moved to its current location at Viale della Repubblica 66 in Prato, continuing to feature works by renowned Italian artists, with shows organized at the gallery and other institutional sites. In 2014 the gallery opened a new exhibition site in Pietrasanta. The gallery publishes its general catalogue curated by maestro Tino Stefanoni; in addition, Aldo Marchi is the scientific collaborator of the Giuseppe Chiari Archive.
