The de’ Foscherari gallery was founded in the early 1960s with a cultural program laid out along two separate but closely linked: a close look at critically established tradition, with solo shows of work by Grosz, Morandi, Ernst, Klee, etc., and an interest in experimentation, with key events focused on Gnoli, Manzoni, Christo, Tancredi, Novelli, Twombly, Fioroni, Angeli, Tacchi, Festa, Pozzati, Schifano, and Sartelli. In 1967, Pop art americana, in ‘68, Arte Povera, curated by Germano Celant, and in ‘74, Eros Ghenos Thanatos, curated by Alberto Boatto. Recent major projects have included solo exhibitions by Piacentino, Parmiggiani, Calzolari, Nitsch, Nunzio, Zorio, Marisaldi, Moro, Vitone and Sophie Ko.
