Maggiore g.a.m. was founded in 1978 by Franco and Roberta Calarota who have established the international prestige through a collection of museum quality works by XX Century Masters. Today the exhibitions presented aim to show how Modern influenced Contemporary art. The gallery has always dealt with two aspects: the market and the institutional promotion. Since the begging of the Nienties Maggiore g.a.m. has developed collaborative relationships with museums and institutions in Italy and abroad - among them: Metropolitan Museum New York, Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Museum of Palazzo Fortuny, Biennale of Venice, etc. - testifing the quality of the work developed and becoming a reference for some Masters as Giorgio Morandi and Giorgio de Chirico. Maggiore g.a.m. has taken and takes part to some fairs as Art Basel, Art Basel Miami, Art Basel Hong Kong, Tefaf Maastricht, Tefaf Spring, Frieze Masters, The Armory Show and MiArt.
