Antonia Jannone began her career in 1977, concentrating on an artistic expression that until then had found no space: architecture. She realised the first personal exhibitions of famous architects: Krier, Lapadula, Muzio, Rossi, Sartoris, Sottsass, Wewerka. In those years, architectural design moved away from its strictly planning function and became an autonomous art form, expressing a poetic idea of the world valid in its own right (Rossi, Scolari, Sottsass, Cantafora) in the same way as G.P. Pannini, Joli or H. Robert. Since 1986 this primary focus of Antonia Jannone gallery has been accompanied by a special interest in artists and designers: Cappelli and Ranzo, Du Pasquier, Sipek and Sowden. The latest exhibitions have been devoted to: Botta, Branzi, Busci, Cibic, De Lucchi, Gregotti, Holl, La Pietra, Mendini, Palmieri, Pesce, Raggi, Riva, Siza, Sottsass, Tchoban, Vitali and Zanuso Jr.
