Gallery Directors

Contrasto Galleria started its activity in 2005, sharing the location with Fondazione Forma in the historical building of Piazza Tito Lucrezio Caro in Milan. Year after year, the gallery has become the reference point for the experienced collector and the beginner, offering vintage and modern prints by Italian and International masters as well as emerging artists and thus actively contributing to the development of photography collecting in Italy, through exhibitions, art fairs and partnership with important international galleries and institutions. Since 2014, the Gallery has moved to the current location of Via Ascanio Sforza, where the exhibition and selling activities continue. Contrasto Galleria exclusively represents some of the most significant artists that use photography as their medium, such as Gianni Berengo Gardin, Piergiorgio Branzi, Sebastião Salgado, Elliott Erwitt, William Klein, Ferdinando Scianna, Alex Webb, James Nachtwey.
