Gallery Directors

ProjectB is a gallery specializing in contemporary painting, sculpture and photography, founded in Milan in 2006 based on the idea of bringing the exponents of Young British Art to Italy and of promoting the work of artists already famous in their own Countries, but still not well known on an international level. The gallery program develops through the alternation of both highly acclaimed and emerging national and international artists. Strong research, a focus on technique and a certain "artistic practice" are the core elements that have guided the gallery choices, recovering the centrality of the artist's hand. ProjectB has brought to Italy the work of Keith Tyson, the museum work Unhappy Feet by Jake & Dinos Chapman and Zhang Huan’s Ash Paintings, but has always paid close attention to the new generations of young European artists, including the recent exhibition of Tom Anholt, the first solo show of the English artist Hugo Wilson and the Scottish painter Caroline Walker.
