Galleria Alessandra Bonomo opened in 1986 in Rome, piazza Sant’Apollonia 3. Since the beginning the gallery shows works of young italian and international artists. The gallery displayed works of Mario Schifano, Alessandro Twombly, Alighiero Boetti, Fischli-Weiss, Peter Schuyff, Ugo Rondinone, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Shirin Neshat, Douglas Gordon, Sol Lewitt, Richard Tuttle, Christopher Wool, Nunzio, Tristano di Robilant and others. In 2002 the gallery moved to a new space next to the Pantheon and started to collaborate with other galleries, such as in 2009 Deitch Projects for Barry McGee’s show Mr Brown. In the new space the gallery hold exhibitions of Elger Esser, Donata Wenders, Joan Jonas, Rudy Burkhardt, Vivienne Bittencourt, Marc Quinn, Pat Steir, Graeme Todd, Hamish Fulton, Margrét H. Blöndal, David Tremlett, Juliao Sarmento, Nunzio, Francisco Tropa. The current exhibition PART 1 displays works of the young artists Lulù Nuti, Simone Pappalardo, Baldassarre Ruspoli and Delfina Scarpa.
