Gallery Directors

Bruno Giraldi founded the gallery in leghorn in 1951. From 1972 to 1976 the gallery was active in Florence too, in via Martelli, near the Cathedral. Since 1990 when its founder and creator passed away, the gallery has been run by his son and grandsons. Among the numerous and noteworthy solo exhibitions is that of Nigro in 1952, with particular attention towards the vanguard of postwar, and also one from Lucio Fontana that took place in February 1968, before his death. The gallery has been characterized by not following the trends of that period, even though cooperating with important artists. In fact the period of cooperation has never followed their appreciation: more often it has come first (it is enough to think of Bonalumi, Corpora, Dorazio, Fontana, Guarneri, Marchegiani, Mondino, Reggiani, Scanavino, Schifano, Simeti, Soto, Turcato exhibition in the sixties) other times has coincided (Crippa, De Chirico, Gilardi, Rosai, Santomaso, Spagnulo).
